After days of drenching spring rain, the opportunity to visit the idyllic setting of Tim and Sarah Belk’s farm was the perfect summer kick-off. The Belk’s Chester, SC, farm was the location of the first Wild Hope Family Music Fest, featuring young, up and coming bluegrass musicians, and raising money to benefit Common Grounds Farm Stand.
Well over 300 people, children, and half a dozen dogs, enjoyed the country setting, the delicious food catered by Roots food truck, and live music. The focus on benefitting the homeless was never forgotten and the generous crowd and community came together to net over $10,000 for Common Grounds and its mission to support the homeless through Urban Ministry Center.
